The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of thefts from vehicles and other suspicious activity that has recently occurred in the 7000 to 8000 West block of CR 400 North. This is the immediate area near Creek Ridge County Park.
Residents in this area and rural Coolspring Township are urged to lock their vehicles that are parked outside. Also, remove all valuable items from vehicles.
Anyone who sees or hears any suspicious activity is asked to contact the La Porte County E-911 Regional Dispatch Center. Anyone who has a tip on a suspect is asked to contact Detective James Lear at 219-326-7700, ext. 2410.
