Emergency workers responded to a head-on crash involving two vehicles in the town of Westville early Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred on Ind. 2 just east of Ridge Street at around 12.25 p.m. Information at the scene indicated that a westbound black passenger vehicle traveled left of center and struck a red passenger vehicle that was traveling eastbound.
Four occupants of the eastbound vehicle, two adults and two children, were transported by La Porte County EMS to area hospitals with minor injuries. The driver of the westbound vehicle refused medical treatment.
Ind. 2 was closed for a little more than an hour while the crash was investigated and the vehicles removed by a wrecker service. In addition to the Westville police and La Porte County EMS, the Westville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
